TERMS OF SERVICE
1. Definitions
“Competition” means the LevelUP Dance Competition, including all sessions, age groups, and categories.
“Participant” includes dancers, studio representatives, guardians, and anyone registering or attending in any official capacity.
By entering, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Registration & Entry
Entries must be submitted through the official online registration system.
All competitors must complete payment before the event closing date.
Entry fees are listed in the event information. All fees are in Australian dollars.
Registration is confirmed only once payment is complete.
All payments are processed through Stripe. All prices are final and include a 1.7% card processing fee.
3. Eligibility & Age Divisions
Age is calculated as at 1st January in the competition year.
Proof of age may be requested at any time.
Duos, trios, quads, and group age divisions are calculated via average age.
The organisers may refuse entry or reassign an age group if incorrect information is submitted.
4. Music & Performance Material
Music must be uploaded through the official music upload system before deadlines.
All music is final and cannot be changed on the day.
Competitors must bring a backup copy of their music to the event.
5. Performance Requirements
Ensure that the uploaded track is the correct and final version for your competitor’s performance.
Music containing profanity, racial slurs, or inappropriate content may result in a 10-point deduction or disqualification.
6. Props & Costumes
Props are allowed only if they can be set and removed within allotted timeframes.
Props must not damage the floor and must be labelled with the studio name.
Dangerous items (fire, fog, loose substances, etc.) are prohibited.
Costumes should be age-appropriate and safe.
7. Judging & Results
All performances are evaluated by appointed judges using a point system.
Judges’ decisions are final and cannot be contested.
Competitors accept that scoring methods and criteria are determined by the organisers.
8. Awards & Trophies
Awards are given according to scores and division placement.
Prizes are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
9. Behaviour & Etiquette
Good sportsmanship is expected from all participants, families, and studio staff.
Inappropriate behaviour may result in disqualification and exclusion from future events.
Competitors must perform in the published order unless otherwise authorised.
10. Photography, Video & Media Release
By entering:
You grant permission for photos and videos to be taken during the event.
The organisers may use media for promotional purposes across platforms.
Written notice must be provided before the event if you do not consent.
11. Refunds, Credits & Transfers
Event Cancellation: Full refunds will be provided if the event is cancelled.
Serious Injury: If you are unable to attend due to a serious injury and provide a doctor’s certificate at least 24 hours prior to the event, a full refund will be issued.
Unable to Attend: If you cannot attend the event and notify us at least 72 hours in advance, the full amount paid can be credited towards another event within 12 months.
Late Notice: If notice is given less than 472 hours before the event, the registration fee will be forfeited, but any solo/performance fees paid will be credited for use within 12 months.
Credits: Any credits issued are valid only for the current competition season unless otherwise specified.
12. Liability
Participants perform at their own risk.
The organisers are not liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property except as required by law.
Guardians must supervise minors outside performance times.
13. Updates to Terms
These terms may be updated at any time. Updated versions will be published on the official event page.
